Century Farm

Waking up to a sunrise at the foot of my bed is definately an enlightening way to face the day - waking up to endless beauty and wildlife on your doorstep heightens this.... and waking up to a furry pal from next door (and more often 2 pals belonging to neighbours) eager to give love and get lots of food... Welcome to a sunny morning at Century Farm.

I have been living in my new abode with the new and amazing home-mate Tony for just over a week now, and even though I have been in a bit of a personal slump for the last two weeks this home brings nothing but positive energy to my day. As much as my pals want me to believe it is haunted, it's not so... Pierre, the only weirdness i can report so far is the occasional scrambling of clocks... (sorry)

Just wanted to share some fotos with those of you who can't come and take in its beauty for yourself. I will post more photos when we get our garden in and when the flowers begin to bloom. There is a lot to look forward to this summer - our garden, living on the farm, access to endless beauty and land land land, we are starting to plan our grand murder mystery, which I can't keep up with - I think everyone we know wants to get involved. We are planning around music... endless good music happening already in such a humble abode, Also in the works is a black and white party to document and photograph the many many beautiful people in our lives right now... All in the plans... keep your ear to the earth and we will keep you posted.

I sincerely hope life finds you all in good spirits - sending much love... -S

On a Wednesday of the Ordinary...

On an evening, like this evening I am taking some time to delve into the wide world of internet information - So hard to get away from this machine when it is so full of information... A concept was brought to my attention this evening by a pal - It is that of Peak Oil. In my reading this evening I stumbled upon this quote : I remember being told twenty years ago that there was only twenty years of oil left. We are now being told again that we have twenty years of oil left. I wonder if we will be told the same thing in another twenty years! (http://www.wolfatthedoor.org.uk/) And I thought - yeah... That is true on so many levels. That is why I am going to introduce the idea of Peak Oil to you - Check out my links and I have posted a few that will deliver you to info on Peak Oil... Just another eco-unfriendly event that is sure to fashion our lives...

On the up note - I have to mention a project that has been catching my eye a lot lately - A good friend of mine is the chair of this project - Please visit http://nappanproject.freezope.org/intro the Nappan Project - It is a community based Non-Profit Organization that promotes global sustainability by promoting and exemplifying appropriate technologies, sustainable community economic development and organic methods of food production locally.. all in all good work by good kids... Worth a look!

And now the Blog Ball is rolling... Step aside... no need to get run over!
Be Well, Take care of each other - tread lightly...

..And The Beat Goes On...

Just as i was sure that spring was really settling in, we got more snow... Enough to make you wake up and want to crawl back into bed and sleep the snow away... Luckily by 10am snow-gone - thankfully.

So things are still rocking and rolling in the world of me - I am still trying to figure out this bloggedness... I do have a few photos I am going to post - I have been spending a lot of time at the beach, which is a bit of a sanctuary for me.. The ice is finally receeding and melting and big blue is starting to look more like an ocean...

Welcome...

Welcome to the new and trendy blogging revolution - I am still trying to figure this bloggedness out .. so bare with me - fasten your seatbelts and again, welcome.. I hope you have a pleasant trip...

...Someone once told me that It isn't easy to plan for the next five years when you are really not sure what the next five minutes will bring. There's never going to come a time when we have got it all sorted. There's always going to be a drama, a challenge or a point of confusion. For that, we should be grateful. Otherwise, we would have nothing to look forward to but boredom.

At a time in my life when I am trying to figure out options and directions it's nice to know that we all won't be bored... On that note enjoy the posts - the photos and ramblings...
