On a Wednesday of the Ordinary...

On an evening, like this evening I am taking some time to delve into the wide world of internet information - So hard to get away from this machine when it is so full of information... A concept was brought to my attention this evening by a pal - It is that of Peak Oil. In my reading this evening I stumbled upon this quote : I remember being told twenty years ago that there was only twenty years of oil left. We are now being told again that we have twenty years of oil left. I wonder if we will be told the same thing in another twenty years! (http://www.wolfatthedoor.org.uk/) And I thought - yeah... That is true on so many levels. That is why I am going to introduce the idea of Peak Oil to you - Check out my links and I have posted a few that will deliver you to info on Peak Oil... Just another eco-unfriendly event that is sure to fashion our lives...

On the up note - I have to mention a project that has been catching my eye a lot lately - A good friend of mine is the chair of this project - Please visit http://nappanproject.freezope.org/intro the Nappan Project - It is a community based Non-Profit Organization that promotes global sustainability by promoting and exemplifying appropriate technologies, sustainable community economic development and organic methods of food production locally.. all in all good work by good kids... Worth a look!

..And The Beat Goes On...

Just as i was sure that spring was really settling in, we got more snow... Enough to make you wake up and want to crawl back into bed and sleep the snow away... Luckily by 10am snow-gone - thankfully.

So things are still rocking and rolling in the world of me - I am still trying to figure out this bloggedness... I do have a few photos I am going to post - I have been spending a lot of time at the beach, which is a bit of a sanctuary for me.. The ice is finally receeding and melting and big blue is starting to look more like an ocean...
